A friendly, dynamic and challenging place to make music.
Da Capo Concert Band was formed in November 1997 for adult musicians in North London and Hertfordshire. Our principal aim is to give amateur adult woodwind, brass and percussion players a welcoming environment in which to play.
That spirit is reflected in our name: Da Capo—“from the beginning”. Today, our members come from across London and Hertfordshire.
A varied repertoire
We perform wind band music by composers and arrangers including Holst, Vaughan Williams, Gordon Jacob and Philip Sparke, alongside Warren Barker’s sparkling show-tune medleys, popular marches, jazz and big band pieces, and themes from film and television.
We also explore classic and contemporary symphonic band works, entertaining our audiences while challenging and developing our players.
